OSR is partnering with representatives from each committed jurisdiction within the Memphis MSA as well as additional public stakeholders with a vested interest in emission reduction. With the support of their diverse specialties and experiences managing climate initiatives, this multidisciplinary group will guide the development of greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction strategies and other grant deliverables. Additionally, as OSR organizes regular public engagement workshops and events, the committee’s robust networks within the communities they serve will ensure the climate action plan reflects the needs of mid-south residents.

OSR has organized a technical advisory committee to provide data and input for the required GHG emissions inventory, models, and projections. The Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Technical Advisory Committee (CPRG TAC) will provide data-informed feedback evaluating how the proposed GHG reduction strategies may impact low-income and disadvantage communities, workforce development, and public health. The committee is comprised of representatives from agencies involved in environmental quality and conservation, utilities, housing, transportation, public health, and other sectors concerning GHG emission reduction.
